Hello hello everyone,
This year rather than collating my usual mammoth winter post, I am splitting it into a series to show you how to use one item in multiple ways.
As a personal fashion stylist I teach my clients how to get mileage out of each and every item they own with clever style tips that use the same pieces again and again. I did this last year with slips, trousers, jackets and the little black dress and my ladies loved it.
This series is meant to inspire you to think creatively, be wardrobe-conscious and avoid fashion waste. Maximum use. Value. So much style.
First up, the skirt.
This head turning, orange silk-satin Roksanda puts a skip in your step on drab winter days, lifting your look and mood. I love it. The beauty of this skirt is not just its colour, homage to artist Helen Frankenthaler’s Abstract Expressionist paintings (and you know how I love the impact of nature and art on style), it also has a contrasting pale, pink waistband and the back panel is offset with a ruffled, double-stitched hem.
Here’s how to get style inspired and wear it 3 different ways, using the same bag to give a bag you love, even more love. And just a reminder, these are pure inspirations, if your budget doesn’t allow, you may have similar you can experiment with, or you find one within your budget. It’s all about the art of expanding your style mindset.
If you don’t feel your current style reflects you, you want to push boundaries or just pull together an outfit for a party, I do Online Style Consultations for people I can’t work with face to face.
See my Style Services Page for details and message me with your request. Please be sure to follow me on Instagram @stylebygessica (go on, do it now) and I’d love you to share my posts as I reach out to women around the world to rattle up their old ways, do more with their style and be all they can.
Happy winter lovelies.
