Hello,
It seems almost everyone I speak to is moaning of those unwanted covid kilos creeping up, including myself. Quite a few clients have reached out asking for mini style sessions on clever ways to cover up the CK’s (covid kilos) yet remain stylish.
I too have become more experimental and creative in my own wardrobe finding ways to dress daily with the extra few kilos I have put on and now rigorously trying to shed. Despite this, I refuse to wear overly baggy and unflattering items and I will also dress for the mood I want to feel, and that usually is upbeat and cheerful!
Below are three outfits I curated that are flattering, interesting, and effortlessly glamorous where you can wear in the office, or dress them down for around the home, running errands, and of course venturing out for that rare social occasion.
What you will notice with these curations is, It’s the fabrics, silhouettes, and how you place the individual items together that make all the difference.
Under each curation, I explain why they can be flattering on you.
Did you know I have a new service? With any of my style curations you love, if the items are no longer available, I can find similar for you based on your budget. Send me a message to enquire of the process.
Stay safe, stay stylish
Enjoy X
Trousers:What Fun! The black split hem trousers provide a slender and sleek look. The game changer here is the embroidered kimono thrown over an off white fine wool top (not bulky) with the large bow peaking out over the kimono, distracting the viewer with the magnificent colours and embroidery, making this outfit dynamic. The long length of the kimono clearly elongates the body, covering over the the parts you most likely want to hide. The shoes are dainty with a fine wedge and pointy toe. In warmer weather, the wool top would be replaced with a camisole or t-shirt.
Tip: Avoid heavy fabrics when selecting a kimono. Lovely silk kimono’s at affordable prices can also be found at vintage boutiques.

Glamorously casual! This soft draping midi skirt is ideal for parading around in your living room or going out for some sunset drinks. This soft silky skirt with the draping over the stomach hides multiple of sins. Tuck in this luxurious T-shirt with crystal embellished detail resembling a necklace, and notice the V-shape design, giving the illusion of a v-neck which is ever so flattering. Don’t stop there, adding an unbuttoned black waistcoat framing the embellished neck detail creates a slender look. Slip on a red hat for chicness and ooh la la you have an effortlessly glam outfit.

Dress:The 2020 Gypsy! Wear this day, night, work, running errands. This sparkly embellished silk georgette dress is the perfect shape to hide some kilos for many reasons. The fabric is soft georgette falling beautifully and not bulking up. Unbutton the collar to reveal a v- shape neck line. The shirred waist panel creates a beautiful silhouette giving you shape, and then drapes into a soft hanky hem. The blouson sleeves covering arms if you are conscious. You can easily add a belt for more definition, and in my case I’ve added 2 belts – a gold buckle with dangling discs, and a silk scarf intertwined, just to bring out that free spirited creative gypsy vibe. Slip on stunning red boots for more pop and touches of gold with the accessories. The beauty of this dress is you can comfortably wear this at home or for running errands by slipping on flat shoes.
