Winter Work Style Series 3 – The Dress

Hello all,

Having showed you great ways to wear the same skirt and the same pair of trousers to work, my final look is all about the dress.

This flouncy, mahogany silk dress from Zimmerman can make even winter days feel romantic & feminine. You can retain the elegance while layering jumpers over the dress for warmth. The beauty of this dress is that it can be worn after work to an evening event and also through into Spring. It’s a great investment.

As a personal stylist who loves to push style boundaries, I hope these will inspire you to experiment wth your work wardrobe and inject some originality into the mix.

If you don’t feel your current style reflects you, you want to push boundaries or just pull together an outfit for a party, I do Online Style Consultations for people I can’t work with face to face.

You can see my Services for details. Please be sure to follow me on Instagram. I’d love you to share my posts as I reach out to women around the world to rattle up their old ways, do more with their style and be all they can.

Happy winter lovelies.

From this…To this…Combining mahogany with deep green creates a sophisticated look. Accentuate the waist with a deep green snake skin belt and extend the colour through into the tote. Knee high boots in russet tones lengthen the line of the dress. Add individuality with an evil eye cuff and Mexican-inspired statement earrings.

And this…

Convert this dress to a skirt by adding a lush, earth-toned velvet sweater, cinched in at the waist with this cute bow belt. Be sure to pull up the jumper sleeves a little so that the dress sleeves billow around the cuffs. Snake skin print boots and a cream tote finish it beautifully.

And this…

Red and mahogany go beautifully together, the stunning snake skin ankle boots and red-handled Jacquard tote add spice to the look. Intertwine this abstract flower and crystal necklace with the neck tie of the dress to add extra pizzazz.

My ladies have been loving this short tutorial on how to wear scarves to jazz up what for many of them is a winter wardrobe based on black. Learn to roll, tie, twist and belt it. They’re not just for the neck.
